Seller's Notes:From Provence et Fils, a maker based in the Occitanie region of France, this display cabinet is comprised of two pieces and is over 8 feet tall and nearly 7 feet wide. The top, emblazoned with "Plantes Aromatiques Tisanes", has 9 removable shelves and is 65 inches high. The bottom is 33.5 inches high and has 6 drawers (with plant genuses like "urtica" and "taxus" written above each drawer handle) and 2 cabinet doors which open to reveal 2 more removable shelves. It is 81 inches wide and has a depth of 19 inches. It was purchased about 20 years ago; it is not known whether it was purchased new. Per the manufacturer's website, it's referred to as the Deux Corps Herboriste - Version Bibliotheque. It has an "ancien", or antiqued finish on the exterior. While some of the imperfections are intentional for the antiquing effect, there are a few chipped areas, as pictured, and one section with missing finish where a price tag likely was placed. The back and interior of the shelves are painted a dark brown, which is relatively even and unmarked; the main spots where there are markings are not easily visible, such as the back or the bottom of some of the shelves.
