Seller's Notes:Starbay steamer trunk bar. Have owned since new ($7500 MSRP). Starbay furniture is done in the style of early 20th century yachts. Starbay furniture has been crafted using traditional French cabinet-making methods for 25 years. Manufactured in limited quantities, their furniture is subject to strict quality control and demanding specifications. The manufacturing process: - Solid wood from noble species is preferred - Traditional mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints are at the heart of Starbay's manufacturing process, reinforced where necessary with screws for impeccable strength - Starbay's in-house-designed brass hardware is of the highest quality - Marquetry elements are meticulously applied - The furniture is covered with several coats of silky varnish, for the exceptional rosewood finish so distinctive of Starbay pieces Known issues: some UV fading on back of left hand door (can easily be re-finished, but isn't noticeable with bar doors fully open)
