One of the most exemplary examples of which is the one-legged design of his Pedestal Collection. These effortlessly majestic pieces came from his desire to eliminate the confusion caused by “the slum of legs” underneath typical chairs and tables. The Saarinen Table has since become a symbol of mid-century modern design and mainstay of the Knoll design legacy.
