French Orangerie Planter

Product details

Seller's Notes:PAIR OF FRENCH ORANGERIE PLANTERS BY AUTHENTIC PROVENCE. The French Orangerie square planter box is studied after the historic Versailles planter box, yet visually presents a lighter and more delicate appearance. Popular throughout Paris in the 18th and 19th centuries, these French-style square planters were often arranged in pairs to flank the grand entrance doors of elegant townhouses, often planted with citrus trees, bay laurels, or sculpted topiaries. Known as the Bac à Oranger, this refined design reflects the heritage of the Parisian planter box while offering a more streamlined alternative to the classic Caisse de Versailles. Handcrafted from durable 5mm gauge aluminum and available in four sizes. Each planter is detailed with finely raised panels, corner posts crowned with a French finial, and finished with a distinctive brass logo on the front and back. The fixed-panel construction underscores its lighter appearance, while the base is fitted with an aluminum grid for proper drainage and aeration. In Dune White (pale grey). Retail price $4775/pair

Inspired by the grand French orangeries of the 18th and 19th centuries, these elegant solid aluminum planters bring timeless French charm to any garden. Authentic Provence has designed this Orangerie garden planter to be true to this style, notably through details like the French finials topping each of the corner posts.
