Seller's Notes:A Mid-Century Modern teak tall bookcase from Denmark. Beautiful, clean lines, two shelves with two sliding doors on the bottom part. Simple and elegant detailing on the doors. Very similar to the Poul Hundevad modernist designs, the bookcase was acquired at the end of the 70s. There is a picture of some sort of maker's mark on the back, but it has run and is no longer readable. The bookcase is not terribly deep. This means that while there is room for large-size books, it is economical in terms of the space it takes up in the room (away from the wall). The shelves are adjustable in height (important detail!). The measurements are approximately 75 inches tall, 35 inches wide, and a bit less than 11.5 inches in depth. The finish is in good condition - the pictures seem to exaggerate the flaws, which include some discoloration and darkening on the base at floor level, a small discolored spot on one of the sides, some darkening on the interior side where the books were placed. The back has come away a bit on one side, but can easily be put back in place with a few slim nails. Please note that the back is not wood, as is so often the case. Please note that it was impossible to avoid some shadows and highlights in the pictures, and that, it being a grey day, electric light was necessary for some of the pictures. There is one pictures that makes it look as though the door has a major difference in color, but that is only the light. Please check in detail pix. I will be listing another one exactly like this (a separate will make it easier to discern the details of the condition), and yet another without the bottom part with doors, just shelves.
