Seller's Notes:Functional Victorian era rocking chair made of stained wood with leather seat. Details include a shaped toprail incised with addorsed scrolls over nine slender baluster spindles and similar spindle-supported out-scrolled arms above a padded seat on splayed baluster legs with stretchers. This is inspired by Windsor chairs of the 18th and 19th centuries and with its very slender turned details, reflects some of the prevailing Arts and Crafts style of the late 19th century. The timber may be stained birch or ash.
