Seller's Notes:These beautiful parlor chairs are at least 150yo, possibly older. I have never seen any like them. They are family pieces rescued from my grandmother's attic and probably bought in New Orleans. They have never been refinished and shouldn't be. The finely carved lines are inlaid with gold leaf. They have the original horsehair stuffing. They were reupholstered in 1984. The original upholstery was a mauve with embroidered flowers if that helps date the chairs. One chair has a back leg that was repaired (see picture).
