Seller's Notes:I am selling this unique West Elm piece because I am moving to a furnished apartment. It is the most useful piece of furniture that I have ever owned because: - it can be used as a standing desk - it can be used as bar counter for dining - it can be used as a preparation space for cooking - you can store things like a coffee maker, blender, and other appliances on it - you can hang pots, colanders, cutting boards and other utensils from the rack (and store items on top) - silverware and other miscellaneous can be stored in the two drawers It is an extremely versatile piece for any apartment, especially if you are looking for additional counter space. It is metal, wood and marble. It can be used as an island or against a wall (like in my apartment). The pot rack can be removed (there are instructions on-line) but I paid extra to have it fully assembled, so it will come in one piece. It is in 'like-new' condition other than a few small scratches and stains on the marble, which are not noticeable unless you look very closely.
