Seller's Notes:The Fischel company, founded by David Fischel in Bystřice pod Hostýnem (then Austria-Hungary, now Czech Republic), was a prominent manufacturer of bentwood furniture, often competing directly with Thonet. They utilized similar steam-bending techniques to produce elegant and functional chairs, tables, and other furniture. Fischel chairs are highly regarded for their craftsmanship and design, frequently featuring the characteristic curved lines and durability associated with bentwood furniture. Their production period spanned from the late 19th century through much of the 20th century, with many pieces from the early 1900s embodying the Art Nouveau and later Art Deco styles, making them desirable collectibles.
