Seller's Notes:Danish, 1970s, by Henning Jensen and Torben Valeur. Stamped hj throughout the lining. 80"W x 32"D x 29.5"H, with a 24" seat depth. Feather cushion inserts. I bought this from Arenskjold Antiques in Hudson, New York, in 2018, and I'm obsessed with the design. The frame and shape are the reason to want this. The arms tilt slightly outward so the whole plan opens toward the room rather than boxing you in, and there are big comfy arm cushions to lean on. If you are chasing the low leather lounge look that De Sede and Percival Lafer are currently commanding four and five figures for, this is that moment, in its leaner Danish register, at a fraction of the price because it needs work. I am selling because I am replacing it. But I really love it, so I want it to go to someone who will give it new life. Condition, in full: The main photo shows the condition when I bought it, so please refer to the other photos for the current condition. One arm has been badly clawed by cats and is worn through the grain in several places, with pitting, shown in photos. The rest of the leather has surface crazing. The frame is solid. The lining is torn in places under the cushions. The cover of every cushion zips off, and I have added foam alongside the feather cushion inserts to plump them up. Priced as a restoration project. An upholsterer might be able to recut the damaged arm from the sofa's own hidden leather, taken from the outer back. Or a full reupholster would make this incredible. I live on the ground floor and I've posted a link to the original listing from when I purchased it in 2018.
