Seller's Notes:The armchair has been in the family for a few decades, which is why I cannot be sure about its age. My parents had acquired it in the 80s from a Cape Cod antiques dealer, along with a few other things. So the possibilities are that it is either antique, or a vintage revival of a classic style. It is quite large. To expand on the dimensions of the listing, the seat is approximately 25 inches across at the deep end and expands to approximately 27 at the outer edge. The seat depth is also about 25 inches. The height of the seat is approximately 17 inches, and the height of the back at it's highest point (the center) is approximately 38 inches. The leather is a natural beige or light-brown, the color combines well with just about anything. It is upholstered with brass upholstery tacks. The construction is solid, rich-color wood, with carved decoration. Unfortunately, I am not sure what wood it is. A few nicks and spots on the wood, nothing hair-raising ) The leather has quite a few marks, as you can see from the pictures, not so much scratches but discolorations or smudges that are a slightly lighter color. The leather was never a solid color but the sort that has as thought crease-marks in its coloring (not actual creases), an intentionally distressed look. There are some stains in little-visible areas, please check the last two pictures. I believe the leather can be re-conditioned, but it will work as is for those who like the well-worn leather look, which I rather do. I would be keeping if I were moving far away.
