Seller's Notes:For sale is a classic vintage dining set by Temple-Stuart, likely from their popular "Rockingham" collection (circa 1970s). This is heavy, solid American furniture built to last for generations. The set includes a round pedestal table and 4 "Mate's style" chairs in addition to two leaf inserts (not pictured) that expand the table. Features: Brand: We believe this a Temple-Stuart brand (The stamped underside may be a clue). Material: Solid Maple/Birch construction with a Dark Rockport finish. Expandable: The table is round but includes two original leaves (included, but not pictured) to extend into a large oval, perfect for hosting. Chairs: Four matching solid wood spindle-back chairs with saddle seats. Very sturdy. Condition: Structurally, the table and chairs are rock solid! There are no wobbles or loose joints. However, there is cosmetic wear consistent with age and family use: -The table top has surface scratches and finish wear (see photos). -The chair arms have significant finish rub-off from years of use, exposing the natural wood underneath. -Some stickers/residue on the back of some chairs (easily removable). This is a perfect set for a family looking for something indestructible, or a great candidate for a refinishing project if you want to restore it to showroom glory.
