Vintage Milo Baughman Recliner
Product details
Seller's Notes:Item needs to sell and be collected by Feb 16th! Stunning solid walnut and black original Milo Baughman recliner Baughman began his career as a custom furniture designer, and in 1953 he joined forces with Thayer Coggin. Baughman’s work was included in High Styles: Twentieth Century American Design at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1985. In 1987, he was inducted into the Furniture Design Hall of Fame. The recliner is incredibly comfortable and I’m only selling as doesn’t fit well into my new home. The Frame is almost immaculate, other than some dings and scratches on the legs (as to be expected given the age) There is a small tear - at the seam - on the seat. The recliner function still operates exceptionally well. BUT - as pictured. The hardware is broken (not by me !) I created a temporary fix (as only needed a bracket and screws as a joiner) I did save the original bracket (as photographed) so can be fixed by a welder. I just didn’t get to it, as the temporary fixture meant it was working as new in the interim. Price is reflective of the damages mentioned above. Need a quick sale hence huge reduction in price!!
