Seller's Notes: Originating from Morocco in 1950, this vintage mid-century Moroccan wool rug features a distinguished transitional interpretation of the regional chevron symbol, representing the female anatomy and its beauty when seen in succession. Unique to this piece’s chevron pattern is both the use of multiple colourways within each geometric line, including oceanic blue, moss green, cerulean, brown, red, and black. It is rare to see chevron geometric symbols with more than one dominant hue, let alone in this horizontal orientation accented by the finely woven bright orange ladder-like symbols representing masculinity (a likely depiction of the union between a man and woman).
