Seller's Notes:Hand woven in wool originating from Persia between 1950-1960, this vintage mid-century kilim is known as an Azerbaijan bedbag rug, denoting its distinct size for bedding as well as this classic geometric tribal pattern in rich colorway. This quality of wool lends an almost silk-like sheen to the striped red, gold, pink, and blue hues intercepting the field, almost juxtaposing the richer, more reserved burgundy and beige-brown hues addressing the traditional Scorpion motifs (widely believed to symbolize protection and strength among nomadic weavers).
