Vintage MCM Valentine-Seaver Kroehler Arm Chairs
Product details
Seller's Notes:Designed by Valentine-Seaver and made by the Kroehler Manufacturing Company, circa mid to late 1950’s. Chairs have a beautiful walnut base and round legs, in excellent shape. Seat cushions are very firm. These chairs were barely sat on. The rare slubbed bright teal blue fabric is in overall great shape. Seat cushions could use a professional cleaning to restore the shine and brightness to these beauties. The Valentine-Seaver Company was an American furniture company. It was founded by Louis Lincoln Valentine and Andrew E. Seaver in Chicago, Illinois in 1899. In 1906 Valentine and Seaver established the Century Parlor Furniture Company for the production of frames to be finished in Valentine-Seaver upholstery. In 1927 Valentine-Seaver was acquired by the Kroehler Manufacturing Company. Designs by the company are held in the collection of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
