Vintage Handmade Steel Dining Chairs
Product details
Seller's Notes:Looking for a new home for these four loved chairs, which have been at my dining table for many years. They were vintage when I purchased them, so I can only guess at their age. They are extremely heavy, solid, and sturdy, with a patina that one would expect with vintage steel. While they are a matched set, two chairs have rubber wheels on their back legs and the other two just have four steel feet-- the variation looks to be how they were originally built. (There are rubber caps on the feet in the photos, which I put on to protect my floors.) The chairs have a unique industrial/primitive vibe that always garners a lot of attention. The welds are all solid and quite obviously hand done. Seat height is 18.5 inches, seat depth is around 13". I used them with Ikea chair cushions (not included) on the seats and backs-- very easy to attach with the slats, and nice to have for comfort. I don't see a maker's mark on any of them and, while I've searched for similar chairs, I've yet to find a match.
