Seller's Notes:A classic and iconic mid-century modern credenza designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll c. 1950s. Black painted wood case with polished chrome legs and black leather pulls. The interior consists of (4) sections; 2 sections of drawers and 2 sections where adjustable shelves can be used. 1 adjustable shelf available, additional shelves not included. Color: Very dark brown, almost black Style: Mid-Century Modern Locks not usable as we do not have the keys Interior Drawers as shown in photos Adjustable shelves are able to be added Condition: Used. When Florence Knoll revolutionized private office design by replacing the typical executive desk with a table desk, she needed a place for all the filing and storage that had traditionally lived in desk drawers. Her solution, executed in typical Florence Knoll elegance, was the low credenza. “I did it because I needed the piece of furniture for a job and it wasn’t there, so I designed it.” Perfectly proportioned and immaculately detailed, the design embodies Florence Knoll’s adherence to the teachings of her favorite mentor, Mies van der Rohe.
