Seller's Notes:Chair from 1970s, classic Eames chair for Herman Miller with authentic stamping
The Eameses had first used fiberglass cloth and plastic resin material (which they had found in war-surplus stores) as screens in Case Study House #8. The office had also experimented with plastic resins before submitting chair designs and prototype chairs of stamped metal to The Museum of Modern Art’s “International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design” in 1948.
