Seller's Notes:Originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, this vintage Bessarabian flat-weave wool kilim boasts Romanian-style roots in its design. The center of this particular Bessarabian Kilim, which measures 5’11 X 9’1, features an array of floral wonder in a bouquet comprising cabbage roses in varying shades of pink, deep red roses, lilies in blue, with yellow and pink accents, and sprigs of lilies of the valley in gold and orange. In addition to the center bouquet, garlands of red flowers and blue blooms comprise a border around the kilim rug. Accenting each of the four corners of this vintage Bessarabian rug are blue-petaled flowers with centers of bright yellow, which connect winding cerulean blooms comprising one of the garland strands. This transitional flat-weave piece would add a reminder within a home’s living room to enjoy the simple, yet beautiful elements of nature, even still while indoors.
