Vintage Atomic-Era Mid-Century Modern Table Lamp
Product details
Seller's Notes: This is a shapely, eye-catching 22 1/2" Atomic-era table lamp made of oyster white-colored ceramic or glass, and has an appealing amoeba-style raised design in cool turquoise blue with splashes of glittering metallic gold. This is a good-size for reading, either on the sofa or in bed, or for use on a buffet or console, where its height will illuminate your collections of mid-century modern tableware or your hip turntable. The tall mid-century proportions and turquoise tones make it an ideal accent for your low-slung Danish Modern teak furniture, bringing height and complementary hues. The lamp shows some dark oxidization marks its silver metal neck pieces as shown in the pictures. These neck pieces can be simply turned so their best side is displayed. The cord is vintage, but in good condition and the light is fully functional. The colorful base looks great shape; a fine crack near the bottom can be felt more than seen. The original harp and finial (not shown) will also be included in the sale. I love quirky, striking mid-century modern lighting, and I bet you do too. I believe everyone has the right spot in their home for a touch of whimsy and originality like this. Where's yours?
