Seller's Notes:*The Maker’s Mark and the year made ‘89 are sewn in black wool in the bottom right corner of the rug* 4 x 6 Authentic Missoni Rug is hand-knotted using pure virgin wool. The rug looks lighter or darker depending on which orientation it is viewed. The Patchwork tile rug has Missioni’s name included in design. The style can be considered post-modern, art deco revival, Memphis, and certainly Italian. The year 1989 is incorporated in the rug’s design on the bottom right corner. The array of warm and cool colors and geometric intricate details make this a dynamic positive energy piece. This is a chance to own an iconic excellent quality rug with personality to spare. It is a piece of art and rarely available. It was purchased from ABC carpet in New York City by a top designer for a luxury duplex penthouse, that is also in New York City. It has been under coffee tables. So the foot traffic has been minimal. There is slight wear in two of the four corners. One of the two short sides has a slight bit of fray. All the details mentioned are shown in the pictures. Later similar editions of this design were reproduced in the 1990s.
