Seller's Notes:This is a vintage, genuine hardwood (Cherry/Makore) bedroom set originally bought as a wedding gift for my grandparents during WWII. It has been in the family ever since, never exposed to smoke, never outside of the NYC area. I'd love to hang on to it for sentimental value, but unfortunately, I don't have space for such classics in my microscopic Manhattan share! The brass fittings have developed a fair amount of tarnish, and some of the surfaces have scratches and stains -- it's had 70 years of good life. But there are no major chips or dents, and the wood... Well, if you're shopping for old hardwood furniture, you know they don't make 'em like that anymore, and it'll endure for years unless you take an axe to it (please don't!). The only piece with notable damage is the desk, which I am not including as part of the price due to its more extreme wear (one missing/damaged drawer handle, surface scratches and stains - see last two pics) - it's yours gratis with the rest of the set. It is currently residing in climate controlled storage 10 minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel, 20 from the GWB, with easy elevator and ramp access!
