Victorian Oak Draw Leaf Dining Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:The Victorian oak draw leaf dining table is at least a hundred years old but I'd think it's much older actually. It's been in our family through several generations. It has a carved cup ad cover bulbous support to each corner, that joins the double Y stretcher with the central bar. The solid oak frame double boarded rectangular top, that has a leaf each end that easily draws out from under the tabletop to increase the table size and the eating capacity. The frame is wonderfully carved with the grape and vine design, a feature that also showed the wealth of the owner as even in these times having items carved was a very expensive procedure. Using the grape and vine was still using the influence of Grinling Gibbons master carving in the Victorian era.
