Seller's Notes:2 Thonet bentwood chairs reupholstered in fabric designed by Meg O’Hallaran at En Route Studio in SF https://pin.it/77ht3gU (now closed). En Route Studio specialized in handmade modern homegoods: ‘Our items strive to be bright, bold, and thoroughly joyful. We use eco-friendly, solvent free inks in all of our hand-printed upholstery goods. Where possible, we are happy to employ organic fabrics and natural soy foam with appropriate anti-flammability treatment to ensure that your home is comprised of healthy and safe things.‘ The chairs are in great shape with normal wear and tear. There a few are stains on the seats (see photos). I have not had them cleaned, so they can likely be removed. I cannot verify these are authentic Thonet, as fabric covers the underside, but purchased as such. I love these chairs, but moved and the color no longer works. Price is $500 per chair or $800 for both. The bentwood chair was designed by Bruno Weil for Thonet, United States, c.1940. This chair would look exceptional in a mid-century inspired interior. The legs and backrest are nicely styled, displaying Thonet's iconic bentwood process. The upholstery contrasts with the beech wood nicely. The chair has a nice sized backrest, which offers great support, it's comfortable.
