Theodore Alexander Gilt Coffee Table Faux-Antique
Product details
Seller's Notes:This is a Theodore Alexander "Silvered and Gilt" coffee/cocktail table. It is made of sweet-smelling acacia wood, glass, silvering, and faux gold leaf. It was purchased for $3,500 around 10 years ago from a high-end faux-antique store. It is designed to look like an original antique piece from the Art Deco era; it has an artful aged/distressed look. It is quite heavy, about 80-90 pounds. Features: - A crafted distressed look (see images): the things that look like minor stain-spots and paint chipping are original to the piece and are part of its design. - Inset glass-top surface surrounded by a thick raised gold lip - Textured end slides with leather-insets that extend from either short side (two total) - Three "frieze" acacia-lined drawers on one side only (great storage) with hoop knobs; although it looks like there are three drawers on either side of the table (each side is identical), the drawers on one side are fake and are for show only - Very sturdy glass-and-pattern-inset legs
