Seller's Notes:Elfa desk / bookshelf system: 30" wide (note: you need 34" for the top bar); 57" long (note: you can determine actual height based on where you put the top bar mount and shelves); desk shelf 20" deep and book shelves 12" deep. Note: Additional shelves are included for versatility if you would like to have an expanded desk system (pictured with the natural wood, from the Container Store website). You'd simply have to buy the longer top bar mount from The Container Store, which is approx. $20, as the current top bar only accommodates the 30" wide system as pictured with the light brown/gray shelves. Installation is very simple: the top bar mounts to a wall and the rest of the unit slides on. Very sturdy.
