Steamer Trunk Coffee Table
Product details
Seller's Notes:This wood and metal steamer trunk was owned by Sister Benedict who sailed from Porto Rico to Saint Patrick’s convent in Huntington Long Island . The sailing took place around 1932 according to a tag attached to the trunk. I purchased the trunk from Saint Patrick’s convent 1990. I have used it for storage and as a coffee table once I placed a glass table top on it. The metal latches still close and locks are attached. It is truly a unique piece with a great story to tell. This is one of my favorite pieces . Only a move out of state could create the sale of this treasured object.
