Seller's Notes:Natural materials, clean lines, and ideal size for apartment living. According to a fairly extensive Google search, nothing similar is available in the US. Reasonable counter-offers will be seriously considered. About the Designer Sori Yanagi is known best for his butterfly stool, which was selected for the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1958. In 1977, he was appointed director of the Japan Folk Art Museum and he received Japan's Cultural Merit Award in 2002. About the Dining Set Purchased new in Tokyo in 2008. This table is barely used. One deep scratch from the movers. Slight cracking due to age in the surface on one end of the table. The dining table is made of white ash (both legs and veneer? deck) and has a rounded rectangle shape that goes with the dining chairs, also designed by Yanagi. Table measurements are as follows: L 63" x W 35.4" x H 27.56" / Weight 81.6 lbs L 160 cm x W 90 cm x H 70 cm / Weight 37kg The stackable chairs are dark brown and made of white ash, upholstered in beige, woven cloth. We used cushion covers so even the upholstery is like new. Felt protector pads on feet may need replacement. Chair measurements are as follows: H 28.34" x W 18.7" x D 20"
