Seller's Notes:My father-in-law was in the down business in the mid-70s when he had this two-section sofa custom-built, using the finest goose down for the seat, side and back cushions. My husband and I inherited this incredibly comfortable (the cushions are 100% down -- and no filling is softer and more giving) and very sturdy couch about five years ago, at which time I had it reupholstered with the rust-brown patterned fabric you see in the photos. The fabric is a cotton blend (I don’t have the original receipt so I can’t tell you exactly what the fabric is made of) and very durable. The sofa itself is in great condition. It’s been in our den for the past five years, and we barely use that room so the couch has almost no wear or tear, as far as I can see. If you need additional photos, please let me know. I have the sofa placed lengthwise in one row. But, of course, this is a sectional sofa, and so it's very versatile; originally I had the two pieces placed at right angles to each other with a table between the ends and it looked great, as well. ! I’m sorry to lose this wonderful piece of furniture but we need to make our den into an office and the couch will have to go. They really don't make sofas like this anymore, and even when it was made, it was one-of-a-kind. The sofa was made with love – I hope it goes to someone who will love it and enjoy it as my husband’s family did.
