Seller's Notes: This rare limited edition clock was built in 1994 and in superb condition. A slender pinch-waist case, elaborate pierced wood detailing on the bonnet hood and judicious use of mahogany ribbon strip veneers on a background of deep mahogany place the Simon Willard in the notable clock making era of 1780 through 1800. Part of the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village American Life Collection. Hand painted dial. Delicate band of inlaid maple on the top door. A gleam of brass complements the hand-rubbed mellow patina of wood, with brass rods attached to top and middle columns, brass caps adorning top front and middle columns and brass ball finials crowning the hood. Clock movement fully serviced and oiled. Mahogany case provides great sound resonance from the chimes. Serial number 04-0861-1, Registration 416-006-07 Edition#: 533 Cable driven triple chime movement includes Westminster, Whittington and St. Micheal's chime options and an auto night time chime silencer. Calendar function is displayed above the numeral six.
