Seller's Notes:This Victorian Cabinet made by Skandia Furniture Company of Rockford, IL. It made its way from a family home in the midwest to the east coast many years ago. It is a solid piece with three doors with original glass, the center glass is curved. There is one center drawer. There are two movable shelves in the center which is slightly deeper and 5 moveable shelves on each side ( but they can get arranges to have more on one side if needed. There are springs to hold curtains from the original design. Beautiful detail and workmanship. The beveled mirror is original to the piece and at one point it had a holder that mounted to the cabinet, as can be seen from the top and back of the cabinet. A full dinner service for twelve with all the dishware, plus glasses and serving dishes and platters has lived in this with room to spare for other treasures. It has 8 decorative feet holding its body and brass hardware. It is believed to be Mahogany. In the photos one can see wear from usage. It is a lovely piece with ample storage and decorative brass hardware.
