Seller's Notes: Sistema 61 modular sofa is an original design item realized by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli, Italy, 1970s. Includes tags: Castelli Industries. Modern, timeless and very well made. This is a modular system consisting of cubic blocks that can be configured and re-configured in different arrangements. This collection is made up of 3 seating sections, 3 backrests/arms. Each section is linked with 2 independent steel component which are not visible but allows flexibility when arranging. Separate out as conversational pieces or place together as a 3 seater couch. The color is a cayenne, mix of red and orange family. There are some variances in color on each individual couch, but not distracting. Fabric looks to be upholstered with nubby boucle. May want to reupholster with new foam or upholstery to match the $15,000-$20,000 retail price these go for. Each seat is very plush and comfortable to sit or sleep on. Measurement is of 1 couch
