Seller's Notes:Vintage mid century modern coffee table with gold down butler’s table top that has been up cycled with Shou Sugi Ban, the ancient Japanese art of burning wood. The process is amazing, the first few layers of the wood are burnt to a char. And then the surface is brushed until there is no loose soot. Once all the soot is removed, the surface is oiled with coconut oil to seal in that beautiful rich finish. The last step is to finish off with a matte polyurethane top coat.
