Seller's Notes:These sepia toned photographs of old formal gardens are matted and framed and slightly distressed, black wood. Signed by the well-known photographers. 20.5” x 24.5” x 1” deep. Artists and photographers Madeline and Robert Longstreet have combined talents to portray their inspired interpretation of home and garden. This collection is their own unique blend of alternative photography and contemporary printmaking combined with a personal journey through the natural world. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Madeline attended Washington University in St. Louis and earned a BFA. She studied painting with Elaine DeKooning which inspired a series of portraits. Subsequently, a love of horticulture and gardens lead to large-scale, botanical, watercolor, and oil paintings. Robert studied art Washington University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Rhode Island School of Design. A student of Barbara Crane, Robert concentrated on alternative processes of photography. Their work graces international projects, private collections, museums, showrooms and galleries.
