I had a liquid-prof mattress pad, two pillows, sheets and a comforter in the compartment (Drawer Interior: (1) 73"w 28"d 8"h). Easy to covert to a bed and back--perfectly counterbalanced. The color "Ronan Grey" is a soft grey with blue undertones. The fabric is soft and smooth. I've had it for one year. There are no stains, wear marks, or imperfections. The Bruno sofa was my primary bed for five months as I was upgrading my apartment. Wonderful, medium firm: it has spring & foam cushions encased coils surrounded by high-resiliency foam, wrapped in fiber. Very comfortable to sleep, nap, or sit.
