Inspired by Scandinavian folk furniture but made in the US, Viking Oak is thought to be the longest continuing commercial furniture collection. Romweber introduced the design in the 1930s and the line was manufactured through the 1980s. A true antique, this desk is more than 50 years old, but you'd never know it. Sure it looks presidential and very similar to the famous and historic Resolute Desk used by many US presidents. However, this desk is perfect for mixing with modern or eclectic decor. The top needs some refinishing and the drawers stick, but otherwise it's in TERRIFIC CONDITION with GORGEOUS CARVING, as the photos show. The hardware is beautifully finished. The desk locks. There are 4 drawers on the left pedestal and a center drawer. On the right are a file drawer, and medium and small drawers. There's also a pull-out flat surface, perfect for a computer, iPad or other tablet. The top and the drawers remove for ease in moving. This outstanding desk measures approximately 38" deep by 72" long by 29" tall.
