Seller's Notes:This collection is made from reclaimed oak timbers from old buildings. The table is solid wood, 2 inch thick top planks and 3 inch thick planks for the legs. The tabletop planks are secured underneath by a steel mending plate running the width of the table. The legs are secured to the top by 6 bolts. The table is extremely sturdy and weighs 433 pounds total, although I have been able to move it around my apartment by myself. Table comfortably seats 8 but 10 could squeeze in for an intimate gathering. Natural cracks, crevices and knots are visible in the tabletop and intended as part of the design and further wear will add to the character. The table could easily fit into a country or rustic design, but because of the simple, clean lines and black finish, could easily be used in a transitional or modern setting as well. This piece will last several lifetimes. Pet, smoke, child free home.
