Manufactured for RH by the renowned Michael’s Furniture Company in California, this "Mission Library Desk" is a heavy, heirloom-quality piece crafted entirely from solid quarter-sawn oak. It features authentic Arts & Crafts details, including vertical spindle sides, a sturdy lower stretcher, and oil-rubbed bronze hardware. The wood grain displays the beautiful "tiger striping" characteristic of high-quality oak from this era. Structurally, the desk is rock-solid and built to last decades. The cosmetic condition is very good, though the top surface shows honest signs of use, including some finish fading and one noticeable scratch (see photos). It is handsome and functional as-is with a vintage patina, but it would also be a straightforward refinishing project for someone looking to restore a classic American-made piece to showroom perfection.
