It's in excellent condition and is very well built to last you for many years to come. We would love to keep it, but we are moving and it won't fit in our new home. Shelves are adjustable. There is very light wear on the side of one bookcase (where it was touching the edge of the desk) and there is a tiny chip in the wood on one of the drawers. This could be remedied with the custom Waxed Grey touch up kit sold on RH's website.
