Seller's Notes:Everyone asks about this item when they come over. It comfortably sits 8-10 and the history behind the base of the table is incredible. The base of the table was from a Boston machine shop so the table not only looks good but has an interesting story to tell. A similar table (same base different top) was sold for around $5000 at an auction. If I had more time, I would try to set up an auction but since I'm closing on a house and need to get rid of it
