The thickness of the wood is almost 2 inches, rare for tables of this dimension and adds to the visual heft. A beautiful piece. The top has been carefully treated and finished to a subtle satin that is smooth and yet natural. The wood has its imperfections and this adds to the charm of this unique piece. The color is rich and warm, see the warmer photos for the true color. The legs are custom-assembled 1 1/2 inch steel piping, de-oiled, treated for rust and then finished in a gorgeous matte black. The underside has 3 support cleats and the whole underside is finished in the same matte black. This table is a statement piece, sturdy, beautiful, heavy and utterly unique.
