Seller's Notes:A deep mahogany stain highlights the natural distressing of our Sumatra Bed's kiln-dried wood, hand-chosen for its unique character. Rustically beautiful knots, burls, whorls and dings add to the inherent beauty of this piece. Frame is solid manayo wood, an Indonesian hardwood, which is Mahogany stained and lacquer sealed. Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew. The platform-style bed has thick posts and legs, and a headboard and footboard topped with molding. Slat-roll support system. Bed is designed for use without a box spring. Hand-sanded edges add to the distressed look. Final coat of lacquer is applied by hand for lasting beauty. Imported. Selling because I am moving apartments and getting a new bed.
