Seller's Notes:The bed is only a couple of years old and has very little wear and tear on it from moving in NYC. We bought the bed with a matt-ress and the rubber pad that goes under the matt-ress that Pottery Barn sells to keep the matt-ress in place and it took some of the finish off of the bed, but it is only underneath the matt-ress. It cannot be seen when you have a matt-ress on it. We contacted Pottery Barn about it and they didn't do anything about it. :(
