Inspired by an early 20th-century worktable that belonged to the designer’s great-grandfather, the Benchwright Collection honors the strength and simplicity of rustic-industrial design. This dining bench features turnbuckle hardware, oversized bolts and a hand-applied finish that highlights each intentional saw mark and groove across the wood’s naturally occurring grain. Apron, frame and legs are expertly constructed of solid poplar. Crafted of poplar, a medium-density hardwood that’s straight-grained and uniform in texture. Seat is crafted of wood veneer over MDF. MDF is an engineered wood that lends exceptional strength and ensures the product’s structural integrity over time. Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew. The use of veneers results in high-quality furniture that has flawless surfaces and consistent color tones that will not be subject to cracking. Finished by hand using our exclusive multi-step process. 86" bench seats 4 people comfortably. Pair with our 86-122" l dining table. Accented with grooves and saw marks to create the look of salvaged lumber. Built using 5-ply construction with tongue-and-groove joinery. Antique-bronze-finished hardware. Oversized bolts on the legs. Fitted with a metal support bracket with turnbuckle details for added stability.
