Seller's Notes:Sad to see this drafting table / art desk go, but I recently inherited another desk, and don’t have space to keep both in my new apartment. The angle of the tabletop is adjustable, from flat to 30 degrees. The glass surface can be used a light box if you place a clamp lamp underneath. The glass surface allows you to see all your tools / decorative objects inside the drawer. Quite a bit of well-worn character: Scratches, ink, paint, and nail polish on on the sides... ink inside the drawer... further marks inside the drawer where I scrubbed at spills.. There’s dust and specks of material trapped between the edge of the glass and the wood. See photos. From a practical standpoint, the condition is very functional. The drawer glides smoothly when pulled out half-way, and sticks for a moment if you want to pull it out entirely. The adjustable surface angle works. If you lean very heavily on one section of the frame, with the tabletop down, the frame makes a noise. Overall the structure feels stable. It does not come with the original pencil tray. Lamp, notebook and drawing utensils are not included. You can see in one photo that I’ve been using cinder blocks to raise the desk to counter height. These are also not included, unless you want them, and Apt Deco is willing to transport. The manufacturer also sells its own add-on base to raise the height. On its own, with the surface set to flat, the desk is 30" tall (average table height). Great studio desk for an illustrator, cartoonist, architect or artist.
