Seller's Notes:Perfectly functional lamp. Although one small part is missing, but it's irrelevant. If you want to orient the direction of the light, you can either do it directly moving the lamp (it's cold even when on, because LED-based) or move a little knob that was originally at the end of the lamp, but that we lost (if you look at one of the pictures, you can see that there is a missing part at the end of the lamp). You can literally take a little cylinder of plastic or aluminum of the right diameter, like a long bottle cap, and place it there. The original part looked indeed a little cylinder. We could do it but, since we only occasionally change the direction of the lamp and we can easily do it by touching the lamp directly (as said, it's always cold, even when it's on), we didn't bother doing it but, if you care about the completeness of the design, you can. To be clear, and you can see it from the pictures, the lamp looks exactly like the original one still being sold by Pablo Design, with or without that little part. The body is in aluminum and the lamp can be extended or compressed by pushing up or down the central part. No screws, everything work on natural metal friction. We are happy with this lamp but, since we are likely moving overseas, we are getting rid of as much furniture as we can.
