Seller's Notes:Agus Djaya Suminta (1913-1994) was born into a noble family and received art training from the Academy of Fine Art in Amsterdam, Netherlands. To learn and observe, Suminta visited multiple countries including France, Italy, Germany and other European nations. While in Europe, Suminta became acquainted with great European painters such as Pablo Picasso in Vallauris, Southern France and also Salvador Dali in Madrid, Spain. This stunning oil painting by Suminta, in a lovely Italian frame, measures 34 1/2 inches wide by 26 1/2 inches tall. The canvas alone measures 31 1/2 by 23 1/2. The piece is signed "Suminta 94", and is therefore done right before his passing, and when his artistry had been mastered.
