Seller's Notes:We received this "blanket chest" from a family member many years ago, and we no longer have the space for it. It has a lift-up hutch, two drawers, and what appears to be original hinges and decorative pulls. All are functional. There are also some nice cutout details around the legs. From what I've been able to find out, the chest was likely made in the 1800's or 1900's in New England or PA. I've seen them selling from $550 on the very low end to $2200, depending on the condition. It has been painted red and shows some surface marring, like a water stain from a cup, scrapes on the top, and a small chip on the corner of one of the drawers. I wish I had the time to strip the paint and re-finish it myself because it's a beauty! Perfect for storing linens, blankets, and pillows.
