Seller's Notes:This is a Milano Bedding luxury sofa sleeper (model Jan) made in Italy. Designed specifically to be comfortable enough for every-night or frequent sleeping in a small home or apartment. It's 1 1/2 years old. Bed base is big enough to accommodate a custom-made, multi-layer Utopia model foam mattress made by Tochta (a Southern California company) that is 7 inches thick (the best American sofa sleepers accommodate only 5-inch thick mattresses). The sofa, custom mattress and ottoman with all upgrades combined cost $10,400 new. It's a big bed with a small couch footprint. The mattress is 55 inches wide and 78 inches long, so bigger than a full sized bed but not quite as big as a queen. The bed base is made of soft slatted wood (rather than metal) for extra sleeping comfort. The couch has the softest cushions Milano Bedding makes. It's a snap to open and close, in great condition and has not been sat on much. Was purchased as an every-night bed and slept in every night for about four months, but circumstances changed and it's no longer used for sleeping. A perfect every-night bed and sofa for a smaller house, apartment, summer cottage or the like.
